Ready to crawl...

I don't know how I can be so excited and so sad at the same time.  My little 'baby' is working on being a boy.  We went from rolling over to suddenly getting teeth and working on crawling in the blink of an eye!  Here is a video from moments ago.  He's totally up on all fours, rocking back and forth, and launching himself forward.  It's a matter of time...a matter of time.

Teeth!

Image
No more mouth full of gums! As of last night Rhett officially has a first tooth. His bottom left tooth broke through the gum & it's like a little razor in there! He's been shoving anything & everything in his mouth lately, working on breaking those teeth through. Grandma says the tooth next to it will be next. Considering the uncomfortable nature of teething, he's being so good natured trying to be my happy boy.... And here he is at Mommy's work in a big barber chair, I can't wait to turn him into my little boy model! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

I'm 6 months old!

Mommy & Rhett in tie dye - we had a tie dye party! Wow, how time flies. I cannot begin to believe my little boy is already 1/2 way through his first year of life. This last 6 months have just flown by. Perhaps due to the fact that my entire world has shifted, and I am now focused on being a Mom, a wife and an integral part of my employer (lots of job responsibility)! I don't regret any of it for a single second. I can only say that there are some days I miss being able to sleep in and lounge around at my leisure. Those days are OVER! Rhett had his 6 month appointment last week. He is perfect, healthy and the happiest little boy! He was not so happy with shots or having blood drawn for food allergy testing, but we survived (I say we, Mommy had to hold him down!). Weight - 17lbs, 10 oz 50th Percentile (= perfect) Height - 28" 95th Percentile (= REALLY TALL) See my peas? See my bandaids from all the shots I had at the doctor? Big Boy holding his own bottle now. Video of Rhett Rolling Over!

Red Rover Red Rover, it's Rhett rolling over!!! This was actually #2 or #3, but I grabbed the video as quick as I could. He's still pretty shocked about it all. Only a matter of time before crawling and walking.

Texas

I've been seriously delinquent with posting to my blog.  It's been a whirlwind July.  Starting off with a trip to Houston, Texas for work to open up a barbershop.  Thank goodness, Auntie Cindy came with us again and Rhett was able to travel with me.  She is truly a blessing & Rhett loves his Auntie.  It was a long work week, but the end of the week held a little time with family.  My Dad's family lives outside of Houston, so Rhett & I were able to visit and I was able to see family I had not seen in over 20 years, including my Grandmother!  We were able to get four generations in the room!  Grandma was certainly smitten with her newest great-grandson, and it was a fun time for all.  Rhett reached a big milestone on this trip, which he had been working on for awhile, and on July 11th he rolled over for the very first time (back to front).  The look he had on his face, along with the surprise from all our cheering and lau...

I love my thumb!

Rhett went on binkie strike a few weeks ago. He decided that it just was not for him. However, he has found his thumb & really loves chewing on his hands too. We think teeth are coming in, he loves to chew on my fingers too, and he means business!! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Happy 4th of July!!

Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July! This year, since he is not yet 5 months old, Rhett will be sacked out long before the fireworks start, maybe next year. My many faces of freedom! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
