Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July! This year, since he is not yet 5 months old, Rhett will be sacked out long before the fireworks start, maybe next year.
Right after 6 month pics were taken, Rhett and Mommy went to visit the Colorado Grandparents. We needed to get out of the heat for awhile and it was a great time. We did a lot of visiting with everyone. Rhett decided he LOVES the outdoors and he was truly in heaven the entire week. We were able to relax on the porch, outside. He discovered a couple of really awesome outdoor things. Trees and Birds. He loved just being outside gazing up into the trees, and he even got his hands on a few, tearing the leaves and branches he could muster off the limbs. He also spotted geese, black birds and even had an encounter with some chickens! He rolled around in some green cold grass, received several puppy kisses, worked on his crawling, yoga & hopping skills. Mommy raided Granddads garden before returning home. A fun time was had by all. Boy, this country living is a whole new thing . My Grandp...
Well, he's technically already 7 months old, but we wanted to share some 6 month pictures with everyone. These were taken August 14th, and it was lots of fun. Just since these pictures have been taken, Rhett is nearly crawling (he can crawl a few paces, then he has to lay down and rest). Wondering how long it will be before he just figures out how to pull himself up on the sofa and start crawling. Heck with it! We also were able to have a photography session with Danica, who is our nephew Nic & Jayde's little girl. She is just 7 weeks older than Rhett, they are buddies.
Running down the boardwalk in California Scared of that big blue water, will just sit a spell and look awhile. So it's been forever since I have truly been on track devoted to blogging. I need to start again. I fear I will loose the details of this life we are living ferociously day by day, by not writing them down. Not that my life itself is enormously impactful, but I like to think someday these words may impact my son, or perhaps impact my friends & family. Rhett. Wow, what an amazing adventure this whole parenting gig is. There are days that I just want to step into a closet & hide for the 5 minutes of peace it may provide during a particularly taxing day. There are days, like today, when I've been away from Rhett for a short time and I feel like my soul is shattering not having him near me. How do we ever let them go to college? Not thinking about it.
