Just have to share...

We had a somewhat traumatic visit to the pediatrician today, so I'm posting some pictures from Rhett's birthday 'day' yesterday to remind me he's a happy boy, and not traumatized for life due to the three shots he received today.  Boy - shots were easy when he was an infant.  Now, it was as if someone was branding the poor little kid..and I had to hold him down!  Lots of crying, screaming and hyperventilating.  Thankfully he is snoozing soundly as I type this.

One Year Stats:
Weight:  22lbs, 10oz - which is a long way from the 8lbs 8oz when he was born just a year ago!
Still holding steady at the 50th percentile - Mr. Average.

Height:  31.25" - he started at 20.5in, so he has grown 10.75" in one full year!
Also holding at the 90th percentile - Tall Boy!

Rhett had a great birthday.  He spent it with his Mom & Papa, and his Aunt Shelly came to see him too!  We went out to an early dinner (more for Mom & Dad, we even had a margarita for him!) and came home to open a couple of family gifts so that Rhett would have some new toys to play with.  Pictures from a few fun things below.  Rhett will have a little celebration this Saturday with a few friends and family that live in town.  We are excited to celebrate an entire year of his life already!

Colorado Visit

Right after 6 month pics were taken, Rhett and Mommy went to visit the Colorado Grandparents.  We needed to get out of the heat for awhile and it was a great time.  We did a lot of visiting with everyone.  Rhett decided he LOVES the outdoors and he was truly in heaven the entire week.  We were able to relax on the porch, outside.  He discovered a couple of really awesome outdoor things.  Trees and Birds.  He loved just being outside gazing up into the trees, and he even got his hands on a few, tearing the leaves and branches he could muster off the limbs.  He also spotted geese, black birds and even had an encounter with some chickens!  He rolled around in some green cold grass, received several puppy kisses, worked on his crawling, yoga & hopping skills.  Mommy raided Granddads garden before returning home.  A fun time was had by all. Winter Fun!

Santa Love at the North Pole Winter Wonderland! We took a weekend and headed north to Flagstaff this December.  We convinced Rhett that we had received a phone call and Santa had asked us to come visit him at the North Pole!  Well....we were sneaky and joined some good friends at the North Pole Experience up in Flagstaff.  First...SLEDDING on Saturday!  It was a trip planned perfectly with weather allowing us to drive up Friday into the winter wonderland safely, then Saturday it was snowing snowing snowing!  We all piled in John's 4x4 (roads were less than desirable) and we trucked on up the mountain!
