Colorado Visit with the Grandparents

Last week Rhett & I were so lucky and happy to fly back to Colorado for an 'in between' holiday visit! It was so fun to spend time with all the grandparents and get away from the city for awhile too. Rhett is such a great traveler, it's hard to stay home! Rhett really experienced his first 'taste', literally, of snow, courtesy of his Grandma Judy..and he was able to see Chickens, Grandma taught him how to drink out of a real cup (who needs a sippy cup?), be present and Grandpa Hutch's art show opening and do lots of visiting and shopping with family. A few pics commemorating the trip below. Since Rhett is growing and changing so quickly, I wish we were just a little bit closer to my home, I miss having my parents and family take part in Rhett's growing up so much. We'll be burning up the highways, skyways and Internet trying to keep up.

Does that FEEDING a baby snow thing seem to be a trend with Grandma?  Here she is feeding ME snow!  Rhett was definitely braver than I.

Colorado Visit

Right after 6 month pics were taken, Rhett and Mommy went to visit the Colorado Grandparents.  We needed to get out of the heat for awhile and it was a great time.  We did a lot of visiting with everyone.  Rhett decided he LOVES the outdoors and he was truly in heaven the entire week.  We were able to relax on the porch, outside.  He discovered a couple of really awesome outdoor things.  Trees and Birds.  He loved just being outside gazing up into the trees, and he even got his hands on a few, tearing the leaves and branches he could muster off the limbs.  He also spotted geese, black birds and even had an encounter with some chickens!  He rolled around in some green cold grass, received several puppy kisses, worked on his crawling, yoga & hopping skills.  Mommy raided Granddads garden before returning home.  A fun time was had by all.
