Our Beautiful Boy...

They say a picture is worth 1000 words...I think so.  Knowing we would have one child, it became apparent and very important to me to capture as much of Rhett's childhood as possible.  Especially in this day and age of digital imagry, video etc., it seems crazy not to!  Before he was born, I sought out a great photographer, studying photos and studios etc.  Finally with the help of Facebook and a referral from a friend, we came across Barbie.  We booked a newborn session, dependent upon Rhett's arrival date, and were set to capture his newness before it wore off.  We took him at 7 days old, his 2nd outing only after his pediatrician appointment.  It was quite the afternoon of events, well....for Rhett anyway.  We had a long session with Barbie at her home studio...with a space heater!  Have to keep a naked baby happy and warmth is the key!  Rhett was fairly happy to be posed, and turned...until hunger struck.  We had to snack...and well, we all know what follows (they are like puppies ya know, what goes in must come out)...let's just say that my beautiful boy can be a beautiful stinky and wet boy too!!  He was kind enough to leave presents on several blankies and Mommy & Daddy.  What do you expect, if you want pics of my naked booty, you might have to pay a price!

Colorado Visit

Right after 6 month pics were taken, Rhett and Mommy went to visit the Colorado Grandparents.  We needed to get out of the heat for awhile and it was a great time.  We did a lot of visiting with everyone.  Rhett decided he LOVES the outdoors and he was truly in heaven the entire week.  We were able to relax on the porch, outside.  He discovered a couple of really awesome outdoor things.  Trees and Birds.  He loved just being outside gazing up into the trees, and he even got his hands on a few, tearing the leaves and branches he could muster off the limbs.  He also spotted geese, black birds and even had an encounter with some chickens!  He rolled around in some green cold grass, received several puppy kisses, worked on his crawling, yoga & hopping skills.  Mommy raided Granddads garden before returning home.  A fun time was had by all.
