Almost ready...


This may very well be the last post before Baby B arrives!  We went to the Doctor this morning, and we have officially been scheduled for induction next Monday, February 8th.  However, that does NOT mean that we will have him on the 8th.  If the hospital is really busy that day with deliveries, they will bump us over to Tuesday.  Also, he is very happy and content in there, not really wanting to come out into this world, so this could very well be a LONG experience, and possibly end up in a C-Section.  Now, I know LOTS of Mom's that say to avoid a C-Section at all costs...and maybe I will have that opinion later too....but it's looking like if this baby boy is as stubborn as his father can be...it may end up a C-Section.  I'm not opposed, as long as he and I are both healthy and as long as I have lots of good drugs and little pain.  Pain & I are NOT friends.  This kid is comin' out one way or another, that's for sure!

After he has arrived, we are home and settled a bit, I will start to upload some pictures and posts related to being a new Mom!  I can't wait to see his chubby little face and see him on the outside!  He looks to have the biggest cheeks, and a cute little nose.   Daddy will be home with us for a week, then Grandma Judy and Granddad Countess are going to come for a week and help too.  I think Grandma will be pretty attached to him, and Granddad may just go hunting!

The 3-D picture above is from last Friday and it shows his nose a bit squished, plus the cord is in front of his mouth a little bit.  He was sound asleep.  Let's hope he is a good sleeper...because there is not much doubt he is a good EATER right now!

Colorado Visit

Right after 6 month pics were taken, Rhett and Mommy went to visit the Colorado Grandparents.  We needed to get out of the heat for awhile and it was a great time.  We did a lot of visiting with everyone.  Rhett decided he LOVES the outdoors and he was truly in heaven the entire week.  We were able to relax on the porch, outside.  He discovered a couple of really awesome outdoor things.  Trees and Birds.  He loved just being outside gazing up into the trees, and he even got his hands on a few, tearing the leaves and branches he could muster off the limbs.  He also spotted geese, black birds and even had an encounter with some chickens!  He rolled around in some green cold grass, received several puppy kisses, worked on his crawling, yoga & hopping skills.  Mommy raided Granddads garden before returning home.  A fun time was had by all.
