Babies & Quilts


A busy family weekend for us...it was all about family and the new baby girl Danica (our great-neice), who is going to arrive this December.  The shower was Saturday, put on by the Grandma's & friends.  Here are some pics of the Mommy & Daddy (Jayde & Nic, our nephew).  I made Danica a quilt, and have not posted or blogged about it so it would be a surprise.  Here are some pics of that also...it's a time consuming project of love for sure!!  Now onto making my son his quilt next....


I'm only 6 weeks behind Jayde, so our little boy will grow up with Danica. 

Christmas at our place in a couple years should be interesting, to say the least!

Colorado Visit

Right after 6 month pics were taken, Rhett and Mommy went to visit the Colorado Grandparents.  We needed to get out of the heat for awhile and it was a great time.  We did a lot of visiting with everyone.  Rhett decided he LOVES the outdoors and he was truly in heaven the entire week.  We were able to relax on the porch, outside.  He discovered a couple of really awesome outdoor things.  Trees and Birds.  He loved just being outside gazing up into the trees, and he even got his hands on a few, tearing the leaves and branches he could muster off the limbs.  He also spotted geese, black birds and even had an encounter with some chickens!  He rolled around in some green cold grass, received several puppy kisses, worked on his crawling, yoga & hopping skills.  Mommy raided Granddads garden before returning home.  A fun time was had by all.
