Wow, what a combined post!  A wedding and Halloween, all covered within a week.  It's been a crazy October, and by the way, what has happened to 2010??

Last weekend, Sunday, October 24th, our nephew Nicolas, married his high school sweetheart, Jayde.  This is Danica's mommy & daddy, so it was an extra happy occasion for the whole family.  What a beautiful day it turned out to be, and such a beautiful bride, ceremony (short & sweet!) and of course, the babies were both in the wedding in all their cuteness & baby glory....

Seems like just yesterday Nic was learning how to drive, getting his first job and working hard at being a goofy little boy.  He has sure grown up into a responsible, genuinely good hearted young man.  It's really a startling look at how fast Rhett's childhood will fly by.  I'm so happy he will have his cousin (whom we call his Uncle), Nic, as such a positive example in his life.

Of course, who could let this FIRST HALLOWEEN for these babies go by without lots of costumes and a million pictures?  Dani & Rhett are really unsure of this entire dress up thing, but they thought the pumpkins were pretty cool.  Rhett was very serious and I'm fairly certain he was trying to figure out how to get the pumpkin stems into his mouth, but the big pumpkins were heavy.  Dani was quite annoyed by her wings (which we eventually just removed) and she really wanted to play with real toys, forget those dumb pumpkins.  She has a new fish face, which in my opinion, balances out the seriousness of Rhett.

Colorado Visit

Right after 6 month pics were taken, Rhett and Mommy went to visit the Colorado Grandparents.  We needed to get out of the heat for awhile and it was a great time.  We did a lot of visiting with everyone.  Rhett decided he LOVES the outdoors and he was truly in heaven the entire week.  We were able to relax on the porch, outside.  He discovered a couple of really awesome outdoor things.  Trees and Birds.  He loved just being outside gazing up into the trees, and he even got his hands on a few, tearing the leaves and branches he could muster off the limbs.  He also spotted geese, black birds and even had an encounter with some chickens!  He rolled around in some green cold grass, received several puppy kisses, worked on his crawling, yoga & hopping skills.  Mommy raided Granddads garden before returning home.  A fun time was had by all.
