Country Thunder 2009... Boy, can you say "feeling old", but it was so much fun. The benefits of being old = affording the rv to stay on site with friends! We had a great weekend camping, drinkin, people watching, enjoying great music and well, the wind was the only downer. Some notables, The Zac Brown Band, a new fav! Also, Montgomery Gentry and Alan Jackson were excellent, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town...so many. It was a great time! My husband turned 44 on the 16th...we are celebrating this weekend with friends and family. A full weekend of all kinds of redneck activities, shooting, drinkin, bbq's, family and friends...hmm, I se nse a theme. I'll post pics next week. Finally, a big congratulations to my girlfriend Denise and her hubby Jason. Little Madeline Dean was born on Wednesday, April 15th. She is absolutely beautiful, perfect and tiny. They are blessed, I am jealous.... It's FRIDAY!!!! Yippeee.....

Family Fun

Had a fun visit with my Aunt Kelly and her husband Brian and their son Archer. Archer is 7, and all of a little boy. They live on the island of Maui, but were able to visit Arizona and Colorado during one of Kelly's seminar visits to the mainland. Swimming, the convention and lunch at the ballpark was all kinds of fun! Hope to see more of them soon.....what an excuse to go to Maui you think? P.S. Kelly says I don't update my blog enough...so this one is for her...we will see if she reads it!

Facebook & Blogging

Yukon with his naughty heart. That he ate. In an hour. Happy Love Month everyone! Life is so complicated! So much to post, so many places to post to. Although FB is socially fun and very entertaining, I keep reminding myself that I should be posting here rather than posting there. In any event, I try people!! You can find me on FB under just Emily Brown. Probably a million of those out there. Good luck.

Maybe this will become a monthly blog?

So, it's January 30th, and one could determine that I already suck at blogging. Isn't this supposed to be something people do daily? Who has that kind of time? I don't even have any children (unless you count the dogs and the husband), and I still don't have the time. I can't believe a month of 2009 has already flown by. Life is too fast. We have spent the most of 2009 with family visits so far. My parents (Mom and step-dad) were down to visit for a few days, along with their two French Bulldogs, one of the bulldogs is pictured here. Don't let his cuteness fool you, he is a devil in disguise. It was dog crazy in our house. Then my father was here for a visit, and is coming back to visit again Monday with his girlfriend. The guest room has been full! If you would like to book the suite, just call in advance! Looking forward to the Superbowl on Sunday. It's almost unbelievable that Arizona is actually in the Superbowl!! I'm a Bronco's fan, but hoping...

I've Decided I too, can blog

It's the day after Christmas. I've decided that I too, can learn how to blog. It just seems so much easier than trying to keep up telling the same story 100 times. So, we'll give this a try! Promising to post photos, and stories this coming year to attempt to stay in touch with those we love near and far! Happy 2009 (almost!)! '
