Worth It! Soundbites & Thanks

Nothing in this world makes me happier in the morning than the sound of this coming from my son...who is nearly three years old and wakes every morning calling for me.  Oh, how I painfully await the day that he decides he is a big boy, and he no longer needs his Mommy to come get him out of bed.  Worth all of the middle of the night wake ups.  Worth every early morning, and late evening. I cherish this sound over the monitor every morning, and after every nap.  If you cannot see the audio controls, listen/download the audio file here As 2012 comes to an end, I am obscenely grateful for 2012 and every single moment and day that was given to me with those I love.  I am thankful to have a family.  I'm thankful that my husband is loving, a great Dad, quit smoking AND drinking, and is more than focused and willing to make a move soon for the best of our family and my CO family.  I am thankful that my, not so little, little boy spent the majority of the last couple of days in 'bi

Santa Love at the North Pole Winter Wonderland! We took a weekend and headed north to Flagstaff this December.  We convinced Rhett that we had received a phone call and Santa had asked us to come visit him at the North Pole!  Well....we were sneaky and joined some good friends at the North Pole Experience up in Flagstaff.  First...SLEDDING on Saturday!  It was a trip planned perfectly with weather allowing us to drive up Friday into the winter wonderland safely, then Saturday it was snowing snowing snowing!  We all piled in John's 4x4 (roads were less than desirable) and we trucked on up the mountain! Archie about to take a dive. Went fishing one night. Santa spells out R for Rhett  Candy Canes for the tree...or Rhett really. Zip Lining, aka drying out from dive in blue water! Rhett, at first, wanted to name his elf "Rhett".  When I explained that was his name and he needed his own real name, he quickly decided on "Elf".  Well.....that wasn't exactly what we were looking for either.  So, then he deci
